Private Events

In early December (2015), members of the Italian Section of the Berkeley University Section Club were treated to a delightful gift; that is, a performance by Gloria Acerboni at our holiday luncheon. Ms. Acerboni’s performance was the highlight of our event. Gloria sings in the classical Italian Bel Canto tradition and she performed cherished holiday music. She is a professionally trained soprano who has performed in the United States and in Europe and she was accompanied by Marina Kashis. Gloria’s voice is strong and full, beautiful and expressive. The group was moved the most by her heartfelt rendition of the “Ave Maria” by G. Caccini, making this piece a tremendous gift in itself. I am so pleased to have experienced Gloria’s musical gifts and talent, and I am sure others will do so as well.

It gives me great pleasure to recommend Ms. Gloria Acerboni for your special event. Gloria has performed the last two years at Mission San Jose Elementary in the Fremont Unified School District. The first time Gloria performed for our students, it was career day in 2015. She was able to communicate with the students about the dedication it takes to be a successful singer.

This year, Gloria came back to perform for our students due the success of her first visit.Before each song, Gloria spoke about the composer and the importance of the song during itstime period. This background knowledge truly brought the song to life as Gloria sang the lyrics.

Gloria takes great pride in being an opera singer. Her passion truly comes out when she begins to perform. The students and staff are in awe of Gloria’s abilities as a singer. Looking to the future, I hope to bring Gloria back to MSJE and sing to our students once again.

We have been celebrating Spring every year since 1990 with our friends and family at our home in Palo Alto on the first or second Saturday in June. This eclectic gathering of friends has grown to over a hundred and for the past ten years we have had the great good fortune of Gloria’s musical interludes at the Spring Party. Gloria has entertained us and our friends with her exquisite renditions of memorable arias. She has sung many romantic duets with several accomplished tenors who are eager to sing with her.
